A fun day -Listening, writing and speaking-

Listen to the audio file and answer the questions. Feel free to listen the audio as many times as you need.

Once you have finished listening, click on "a fun day" to get started on your homework.

After having the homework done, I will open a discussion to the entire class about things you like to do with your father or your mother in their day off or at weekend.

  1. Hi Beatriz! I like very much the mp3 you use in this exercise. The conversation between the father and the girl is very clear and I assume children in sixth grade will be able to understand it without problems. I also like the topic "things we like to do with our parents in their day off". Does it work well with children that are 11 or 12 years old? I have been looking for dialogues as clear as this one but I was not able to find them. Where does it come from? It would be very useful to cite somehow the reference in the blog. Cheers!

  2. Hi Arantza!
I´m so sorry, but I can´t give you details about this audio. This listening material was given to my son by his teacher to reinforce his listening comprehension.
As far as I know they use Macmillan Education.
    Thank you for your comment.
    Regards.
    Beatriz.

  3. Hello Beatriz.I like this listening activity, since it is easy for them to understand. But, in my opinion, it is even more useful and interesting the activity you mention afterwards, the one including a class discussion about the things children usualyy do with their parents in the weekend. It is a good way to encourage their oral skill. Congratulations.
